Terms of Use

Last updated: August 11, 2026

These Terms govern the use of the Homewise Connect app and website by service providers. By creating an account and/or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. About the service

Homewise operates a residential lead distribution platform in the United States. Homewise is not a party to the service contract between the provider and the end customer - we are only the channel that delivers the contact. Responsibility for the service performed, its quality, payment, and labor, tax and regulatory matters lies exclusively with the provider.

2. Eligibility, registration and approval

You must be at least 18 years old and act on behalf of a real service business. You create your own account on the website or in the app, with email and password or with a Google or Apple account, and then complete registration: your profile, the services you offer, your base address and your coverage radius. Homewise may also pre-register a provider on request; the same registration steps apply.

After registration is complete, your account waits for Homewise approval before you can see or claim any lead. Approval is at our discretion, may take some time, and we may ask for evidence that your business is real and licensed where the law requires it. We may decline an account without being obliged to state a reason.

The provider is responsible for: (a) supplying true, up-to-date information; (b) keeping their password and account credentials confidential; (c) any activity under their account. If you suspect unauthorized use, contact support immediately.

3. Credits

Credits are the internal unit used to release a lead's contact information. They are a prepaid right of access to leads: credits are not money, have no cash value, cannot be transferred to another account, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Your balance is made of two kinds of credit, and the app shows each one separately:

When you claim a lead, plan credits are always spent first, and extra credits are only used for whatever the plan credits do not cover.

4. Plans and plan credits

A plan is a weekly or monthly subscription charged through Stripe. It renews automatically on the billing interval shown when you subscribe, until you cancel it. Each time a billing cycle is paid, we set your plan-credit balance to the number of credits included in your plan.

Plan credits do not accumulate. Each cycle's grant replaces your plan-credit balance, it is not added to it: any plan credits you did not use in a cycle are lost when the next cycle begins.

Plan credits are only granted while the subscription is active and paid. If a renewal payment fails, no new plan credits are granted; the credits from the cycle already paid stay in your account until that cycle ends, and you can fix your payment method to resume renewals.

When you cancel a plan:

If you switch plans, an upgrade gives you the larger credit allotment right away, and a downgrade never takes away credits you already paid for: you keep your current balance until the cycle resets, and the new, smaller allotment applies from the next renewal.

5. Extra credit packs

You can buy one-time credit packs at any time, with or without an active plan. These credits do not expire, are not reset by a renewal, and survive the cancellation of a plan. They remain available until you spend them or your account is closed.

All payments (plans and packs) are processed by Stripe. Homewise does not receive or store your card number. On mobile, payment always opens in your device's browser, outside the app.

6. Credits granted or removed by Homewise

Homewise may add credits to your account manually - for example as compensation for a problem, as part of a promotion or trial, or to correct a billing error. Manual credits behave like extra credits: they do not expire and they are not reset by a plan renewal.

Homewise may also remove credits from your account, in the same manual way, when there is a legitimate reason to do so - to reverse credits granted in error or duplicated, to reverse a purchase that was charged back, disputed or refunded to your card, to correct a technical failure that credited you more than you paid for, or to withdraw credits obtained through fraud or a breach of these Terms.

Every manual addition or removal is recorded with the reason and appears in your credit history in the app, so you can always see what changed and why. Credits granted by Homewise are a courtesy, are not a purchase, and never entitle you to a payment in money.

7. Claiming a lead

Each lead admits up to 3 providers. The cost in credits varies by service type and is always shown before you confirm; the cost displayed at that moment is the cost charged. Costs may change over time, and a change never affects a lead you already claimed.

Claiming requires an approved account and enough credits, from any source. An active plan is not required to claim a lead if you have credits available.

Leads have a limited lifetime and stop being claimable when they expire, when the three slots are taken, or when Homewise removes them from the market. Claiming releases the customer's contact information immediately, which is why it is charged at that moment.

8. Contesting a lead

If a lead you claimed turns out to be invalid - wrong or unreachable contact, a service we do not cover, a duplicate, or a request that was never real - you can contest it in the app and ask for your credits back.

9. Payments and refunds

Contesting a lead returns credits, not money. Payments for plans and credit packs are non-refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise or in documented cases of serious platform failure, at Homewise's discretion. Canceling a plan stops future charges; it does not refund cycles already paid.

We may change plan prices and credit-pack prices. A change never affects a cycle you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a new price applies to your subscription.

10. Lead status

After claiming a lead, the provider updates its status manually (In contact, Visit scheduled, Closed, Lost). There is no automated verification. The provider agrees to keep the status updated in good faith - false information can lead to account suspension.

11. Notifications

The app sends push notifications and transactional messages (email, SMS) that are operationally necessary: new leads in your area, support messages, verification codes, low balance, expiry alerts. By using the app, you agree to receive these communications. You can turn each optional category off under Profile → Notifications; the details of the SMS program are on the SMS messaging program page.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

13. Suspension, termination and account deletion

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time in case of violation of these Terms, fraud, or risk to the operation. The provider can also close their account directly in the app at any time (Profile → Delete my account).

Closing your account forfeits any remaining credit balance, of any kind, and cancels any active subscription immediately. Credits are not refunded in money when an account is closed, suspended or terminated.

14. Limitation of liability

Homewise does not guarantee lead volume, quality or conversion rate. The provider is solely responsible for performing the service, for warranties and for serving the end customer. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Homewise is not liable for lost profits or indirect damages.

15. Privacy

The processing of personal data follows the Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Substantive changes will be announced in the app before they take effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new version.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Florida, USA, without prejudice to the legal protections applicable to the provider in their own jurisdiction.

18. Contact
